Haustier Brand Identity

Academic Project |   2024  |  Branding

Haustier gave me the opportunity to explore what happens when we design around the way people actually live. The project was to create an identity for a furniture company that combines modern elegance with pet-friendly functionality. I wanted to create a logo that reflected the company’s mission of creating pieces where comfort, practicality, and style work together in harmony rather than compete.

So much furniture is designed around the idea of keeping life at a careful distance. But the best homes are not showrooms; they’re places where life happens. Living with pets naturally comes with compromises, but luxury shouldn’t ask us to sacrifice the realities of everyday life. True luxury products stay beautiful even when things get messy.

The logo was built around the idea of different things becoming stronger by existing together. The silhouette of a sofa, letter H, and cat ears are combined into a minimalistic logomark that is meant to represent coexistence. The relationship between a human and their pet. Comfort and style. Luxury and practicality.

This idea also influenced the typography. Montserrat is clean and modern, while Bodoni Moda exudes a sense of European luxury.
