Sydney Travel Poster
Academic Project | 2024 | Illustration & Layout Design
A city is often remembered through its landmarks, but many of the memories that we bring home from vacation are made of smaller moments. The warm glow of a slow sunset, the feeling of soft sand beneath your feet. The earthy smell of eucalyptus leaves after a summer rain. When creating this illustrated travel poster, I wanted to capture that quieter side of Sydney. The landmarks are there because they belong there, but they aren’t the focus. They’re simply the backdrop to a moment of experiencing something new. It’s a serene moment, but one filled with the possibility of adventure.
Sydney has always felt shaped by light and nature, and this inspired my design. The colours are inspired by different elements of Sydney: green gum leaves, red terracotta roofs, and orange sunsets reflecting off golden beaches.
